At Maynard’s
just a few lessons a week. The weekly program runs from Monday – Friday on selected weeks in the summer.
We offer accommodations for students wishing to stay overnight, or students have the option of dropping-in
every morning. Students staying overnight generally arrive Sunday afternoon and depart Friday evening or
Saturday morning. Students participating in the camp receive 3 sets of wakeboarding per day and they are
able to train either behind the boat or in our awesome slider park. Lunch is provided for our day-time students
and overnight students receive three meals per day.
TYPICAL DAY
7:00 a.m. –Time to wake up. We get up nice and early to get that early morning butter on the river.
For breakfast we offer something different on the menu everyday; waffles, bacon and eggs, toast, cereal,
bagels, fresh fruit.
8:00 a.m. – Arrive at the boat dock because we’re pumped and ready to go ride. Students get some
trampoline training before taking their tricks to the
water.
8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. - Students take 1-2 sets in the morning depending on the rider rotation. Students can
choose to train behind the boat working on wake tricks or they are able to use our sliders if they are up to the
challenge.
Also get a chance to watch Mike Maynard train and a few of his team riders.
12:00 p.m. – Time for lunch because we have been riding hard all morning. Lunch menu is different everyday
and always contains nutritious and healthy meals designed for any athletes. We take a full hour for lunch, so we
can really refuel and digest. Students are shown video footage of their sets at lunch time to analyze their
strengths and weaknesses.
1:00
p.m.
- Students get a chance to practice some trampoline training before getting
back out on the water.
1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Students take 1-2 sets in the afternoon depending on the rider rotation. Students can
choose to train behind the boat working on wake tricks or they have a slider session. Wakeskating and
wakesurfing is also available for students who might want to take a break from the intense
wakeboard training.
5:30 p.m. – Sit down to a nice dinner and brag about all the stuff we learned in the day. After dinner we offer lots
of activities for the evening. We have a swimming pool, skateboard ramp, fishing or if students are tired they
can chill out to some T.V. or wakeboard magazines. Two nights a week we offer activities away from the
school, movies and mini-putt.
